Castles In The Air

Paper illustration of a famous quote from Henry David Thoreau. Text and shapes cut out of paper, with a paper castle and elements made and laid out to create the overall image.

This is my latest paper sculpture, a slight deviation from the others as it is text heavy and mainly layered, but I have kept the sculptural element with the Castle.

'If you build castles in the air...' an inspirational quotation by Henry David Thoreau, a philosophy I have lived by whether I knew it or not.

Working up on the computer, as elements needed to be more accurate than my usual free-hand sculptural style.
